CID grilling engineer Faizul Islam
Correspondent
BONGAIGAON, June 1 – After being freed by abductors recently, assistant executive engineer Faizul Islam has been facing marathon grilling from the CID and police at the local private hospital Lower Assam Hospital and Research Centre since Monday morning. He has been kept in an isolated and guarded cabin at the same private hospital despite his release in normal state on Wednesday morning by the hospital authority. On Thursday CID sleuths planned to shift him to Guwahati but due to the Bharat bandh, the decision was put off, police sources informed.

On the other hand when contacted SP Nitul Gogoi told this correspondent that there is no new development relating to Faizul’s abduction. However, in Guwahati the State vigilance department is ready to question Faizul Islam on different corruption charges filed against him, department sources informed. But interestingly neither the CID nor the police have been able to detect the culprits of this crime and motive behind abduction and killing of Agriculture superintending engineer Godapani Pathak yet. But as per unconfirmed sources, a former State minister and his/her mafia gang has been suspected to be involved in the crime. On the other hand, top police sources passing slight hints said that CID has extracted enough clues to move ahead on the right track to nab the mastermind of the killing of Godapani Pathak.
