GUWAHATI, June 1 – The Assam Tribune Edufair, 2012, a leading educational event that helps the students in choosing the right career and institutions, got under way today at the TRP Indoor Stadium of Nehru Stadium Complex here. The students of Guwahati and nearby areas would have a last chance tomorrow to get benefitted from the educational fair. The Edufair would be held in Dibrugarh on June 5 and 6.
With expanding educational horizons, the students today want to pursue the courses of their interest without compromising on the quality or content. But quite often, they find themselves at the crossroads while choosing the right institute and a good place to study, where they need help and guidance of the experts.
“The Edufair helped my elder sister in choosing the right institute for herself in the field of nursing two years back, and now, I am here to find a good institute for engineering, which offers scholarships for meritorious students,” said Ashish Dey, a student visiting the fair today.
According to Dr S Suppaiah, placement officer of ES Engineering College, Chennai the engineering institutions of the country are playing a great role in cultural assimilation of students of different States.
The event being organised by The Assam Tribune Group of Newspapers and the Impact Media is being attended by around 100 educational institutions.
