Staff Reporter
GUWAHATI, July 27 – The Tai-Ahom Yuva Parishad, has given a call for a 12-hour Assam bandh from 5 am tomorrow in protest against the failure of a TV channel chief editor to clarify his stand on his alleged indecent comments on Ahom girls on his Facebook account.Tai-Ahom Yuva Parishad general secretary Munidra Madhav Gogoi told this newspaper that his organisation has already filed an FIR with the Tinsukia Police Station on the said comment of the TV channel editor and demanded a clarification from the editor on the issue. But the editor failed to clarify his stand, Gogoi said.

It needs mention here that the alleged comment of the TV channel chief editor on Ahom girls has caused resentment among the Ahom organisations for the past couple of days.

Today, the Sadou Tai Yuva-Chattra Parishad staged a dharna in front of the TV channel office and demanded public apology from the editor. But the TV channel authorities claimed that someone hacked into the Facebook account of their editor.

Sadou Tai Yuva-Chattra Parishad president Dipak Konwar said that his organisation has demanded that the editor should demand a judicial inquiry into the incident if his Facebook account has been hacked into by someone else.

The judicial inquiry into the matter should be headed by a retired judge and in the meantime, the Tai Yuva-Chatra Parishad said, the editor should file an FIR with the police.
