GUWAHATI, July 25 – Amarjyoti Kalita, the prime accused in the July 9 GS Road molestation incident, was brought to Guwahati this evening and is kept under tight security vigil in an undisclosed location. Kalita will be produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup tomorrow where the Special Investigation Team will seek his remand.
Sources informed that Kalita, who has reportedly surrendered before the Varanasi police on Monday, has not been questioned so far.
Investigators have so far arrested 14 accused in this connection.
