Congress failed to manage its house: Rajnath
Spl Correspondent
NEW DELHI, July 19 - Amidst unrelenting attacks from the Congress, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today defended the Centre's role in Arunachal Pradesh blaming the Opposition for its failure to manage its house well.

Replying to Congress charge in the Lok Sabha today of distabilising its government in Arunachal Pradesh, Union Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh said that when there is a hole in the boat, it is bound to sink and there is no point blaming the water for sinking it.

Asserting that he is ready for a full discussion, Singh amidst interruption, denied BJP's hand in bringing down the Congress government in Arunachal Pradesh.

On the other hand, the Congress has the record of destabilising popular governments on 105 occasions. The crisis in Uttrakhand and Arunachal Pradesh are unfortunate and nobody should distabilize elected governments, the Home Minister said.

Earlier, the leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party Mallikarjun Kharge said it is the duty of the Centre to safeguard democratically-elected governments. But Centre's repeated attempts to distabilize elected governments is unfortunate.

Alleging that the Centre has been trying to distabilize elected governments in Uttrakhand and Arunachal Pradesh, Kharge said that its attempt to change governments was not successful.
