New train flagged off

 GUWAHATI, July 18 – As promised in last year’s Rail Budget, a new weekly express train from Kamakhya to Anand Vihar of New Delhi was introduced from today.

The train left Kamakhya station this morning and will reach Anand Vihar of New Delhi at 5.35 pm on Friday. The train from Kamakhya has been numbered as 15621 and the train from Anand Vihar has been numbered as 15622.

Senior trackman B Basumatary, the oldest staff of Kamakhya station area, who is retiring from service in August 2013, showed the ‘green flag’ to the train at 6.10 am today. The inaugural ceremony was also attended by R Goyal, Divisional Railway Manager, Lumding and other high officials of Lumding division.

As per notified time table, the train will leave Kamakhya every Thursday at 6-10 am and, on return journey, it will leave Anand Vihar at 11.45 pm every Friday from July 19, 2013 reaching Kamakhya at 2.45 pm. The train will have one AC three-tier coach, five sleeper class coaches, six general second class coaches.
