Akhil discharged from hospital
CORRESPONDENT
NALBARI, July 9 – Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) secretary and RTI activist Akhil Gogoi was today discharged from the Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital where he had been undergoing treatment from Friday.

Gogoi was admitted into the hospital after being assaulted by some miscreants when he had come to Nalbari district to visit the flood-affected areas.

Coming out of the hospital the KMSS leader told mediapersons that he had wanted to stay one more day in the hospital but the hospital authorities did not allow him. He alleged that the hospital authorities compelled him to leave the hospital.

According to Akhil, Agriculture Minister Nilamani Sen Deka had hatched a conspiracy to kill him at Purni village. He also alleged that the present Congress Government is being controlled by contractors, dalals and gundas. “Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has fully endorsed the attack on me because of which he failed to order a probe into the incident,” the KMSS leader alleged.

After his release from hospital Akhil was escorted to his Guwahati residence by Nalbari police.
