Drama workshop for school children

 JORABAT, July 5 - The Dimoria regional unit of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) in association with the student body’s Sonapur unit, is organising a month-long drama activity and training workshop for school children at Sonapur Gyan-Jyoti High School.

 In the inaugural ceremony held on Thursday, noted actor and drama trainer Prasanta Kumar Das of the Assamese film industry praised AASU for arranging the drama activity workshop for children.

The organisers requested all the participants to learn their job with dedication and asked the guardians to support their children in choosing activities which they like from heart.

Rintu Das, president of AASU’s Dimoria unit said a drama workshop is organised every year so that students interested in drama or acting can learn the skills and take acting as a career in future.

Around fifty school children attended the workshop on the first day and the number is expected to increase in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the Khetri branch of AASU will be organising a singing workshop from July 7 and a football training camp from July 13 in the Dimoria College playground. Similarly, the Hahara branch of AASU is organising an art workshop from 5th of July 5 and a football training camp for the students of the area from July 15.
