Namghosha album released
Staff Reporter
GUWAHATI, July 5 – Singer and composer Zublee Baruah today offered a new contribution to Assamese music with the release of an audio CD Namo comprising selected prayers from Sri Sri Madhavdev’s Namghosha.

The CD was formally released in North Guwahati’s historic Dol Govinda temple by members of the temple committee.

According to the singer, the CD is a humble attempt to preserve the age-old cultural traditions practised in every Assamese household and also to introduce the new generation to the spiritual teachings of Namghosha. Arshiya Mahanta has made her debut by lending her voice to two of the prayers in the CD. Anchored by Dr. Sabyasachi Mahanta, the event was marked by prayers sung by both Zublee and Arshiya.
