Appeal for flood relief

 GUWAHATI, July 3 – The Bishwa Hindu Parishad has appealed to the people of Assam to support its relief mission for the flood affected people. The Parishad has constituted a special cell for flood relief at its office at Panchajanya Bhawan, Barthakur Mill Road here and interested citizens can donate medicines, food and clothes at the office.

The All Guwahati Students’ Union too has appealed to the citizens to come forward and help the flood affected people by donating clothes, books, foodgrain, baby food etc.

The student body has set up flood relief collection points at Swahid Nyash Bhawan, Uzanbazar, Maligaon LP School, Azara Godhuli Bazaar, Narengi Tiniali etc. In a statement the student body said that people have responded by donating various usable items for the flood affected people.
