1,234 cases in Manipur

 INPHAL, June 30 - With seven new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Manipur has increased to 1,234. The total active cases are 681, Health Department officials said today.

In the last 24 hours, seven persons were confirmed positive at the VRDL (Virus Research and Diagnosis Laboratory) of the JNIMS, an official press release stated. All are returnees from other States. They are being shifted to COVID care facilities, it added. All necessary precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing have been put into place.

During the last 24 hours, 59 persons were discharged from COVID care centres of Meitram, Ukhrul, RIMS, JNIMS and District Hospital, Churachandpur following recovery. The recovered cases stand at 553, with the recovery rate being 44.81 per cent.
