|Cachar DC, ADC, Joint Director Health Services volunteer for swab sample test|
SILCHAR, JULY 1: Adding momentum to the ongoing Assam Targetted Surveillance Programme(ATSP), Cachar Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli along with Joint Director of Health Services Dr Sudip Jyoti Das have volunteered to undergo the swab sample tests for COVID-19.
"The pandemic has to be fought armed with information, preparedness and self precaution has to be driven home. To lead by example has always been a pursuit. There is no reason for any fear to take over. We are prepared for whatever is to come," Jalli told The Assam Tribune.
District Media Expert NHM Suman Choudhury informed that as a part of the ATSP drive, a total of 304 samples were collected from officials of Deputy Commissioner's office (173) , Staff of Joint Director of Health Services (66) Civil Hospital Silchar (52) and police persons (16) on Tuesday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan also underwent the sample test.
A total of 2057 samples under the ATSP were collected till June 30, Choudhury said.
