GUWAHATI, June 30 Reacting to the allegation of former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta that a section of Congress workers was involved in arson on June 22, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) today denied any involvement of Congress members in the incident.

In a statement issued to the press, the APCC said that before questioning Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on implementing the instructions of the Prime Minister in regard to using non-lethal weapons to control mob, Mahanta must himself answer for the secret killings during his tenure.
