Pema Khandu elected unopposed
Correspondent
ITANAGAR, June 30 – Pema Khandu, the eldest son of former chief minister late Dorjee Khandu, has been declared elected unopposed from the Mukto Assembly seat to make his maiden entry into the State Assembly. This is for the first time that the junior Khandu, a Congress nominee, has been elected unopposed – the precedent set by his father late Khandu who got elected from the same seat thrice without any contest. No nominations were filed against Pema with the political parties voluntarily withdrawing themselves from the Mukto bye-election.
