Kalam opens OIL school jubilee function
 DULIAJAN, Jan 27 – Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam inaugurated the golden jubilee celebrations of Oil Higher Secondary School here this afternoon.

Deliberating on the theme ‘I have wings I will fly’, the former President elaborated how to become unique. Mentioning the names of great personalities of the world, including Dr Bhupen Hazarika, Dr Kalam spoke of four things for becoming unique – to have a great aim in life, continuously acquire

knowledge, hard work and perseverance.

The Missile Man also donated books for the school’s library. Prior to the inauguration Dr Kalam laid the foundation stone of a botanical garden in front of the school.

Principal of the school, Kalpana Baruah Kachari, in her welcome address, expressed gratitude to the former President for gracing the momentous occasion. Nayan Moni Borah, Chairman and Managing Director of Oil India Limited speaking on the occasion expressed that the students are fortunate to be inspired by words of wisdom from Dr Kalam.
