BGB to set up 10 BOPs along Indo-Bangla border

AGARTALA, Jan 25 - Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) will set up ten more border outposts along the Indo-Bangla border in Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) of the neighbouring country to stop trans-border movement of anti-national elements and check smuggling and infiltration.

“BGB has agreed to make tighter its border and erect ten more border outposts (BOPs) in CHT bordering Tripura and Mizoram,” BSF spokesman and DIG DS Bhati told reporters here recently. Tripura shares 856 km-long border with Bangladesh while Mizoram shares 318 km border with the country. – PTI
