GUWAHATI, Jan 15 - GNRC Dispur observed its 34th foundation day on Saturday.
To commemorate the occasion, Thaomunglung Chuk-hrungfa, chief operating officer of GNRC Hospital, Dispur, spoke about the steps taken by GNRC to address the multi-dimensional challenge of providing quality healthcare combining humane intent, equitable practices and building trust.
A programme was organised on the occasion to felicitate 14 personalities who have excelled in their respective fields.
Chukhrungfa spoke on the importance of widespread awareness of preventive healthcare and access to quality, affordable healthcare, in order to reach GNRC’s goal. To pursue the cause, GNRC launched its ‘Affordable Health Mission’ in August 2017. And this mission is making greater strides in the recent times, he added.
On the occasion, GNRC launched a special surgery scheme under which anyone can avail zero bed charge for four major surgeries – joint replacement, gall bladder, hernia and FESS (ENT surgery).
Dr Hitesh Barua, MD, Nemcare Hospitals was present in the event as chief guest and delivered a lecture on ‘Doctor-Patient Relationship’ in current times.
