Dularay Boro Harimu Afad meet from Jan 19

 MUSHALPUR, Jan 15 – The eleventh central convention of the Dularay Boro Harimu Afad, a cultural body of the Bodos, along with the second annual conference of the Baksa District Boro Harimu Afad will be held at Barbari in Baksa district on January 19 and 20. A reception committee has already been formed with local MCLA Ansumwi Khungur Bodo as president and Sonlaram Lahary as secretary.

According to the programme, MCLA Moon Singh Brahma will open the main archway at 9 am on January 19. It will be followed by the inauguration of the guest house, a delegates’ house and a stage. At 11 am, the central delegates’ meet will be inaugurated by Parliamentary Secretary Maneswar Brahma. This will be followed by the registration of delegates at 3 pm, the central executive meet at 4 pm, cultural competitions at 5 pm and the central delegates’ meet at 7 pm.

Billa Kumar Brahma, president of Dularay Boro Harimu Afad, will hoist the organisation flag at 7 am to mark the beginning of programmes on January 20. It will be followed by paying of homage to martyrs. The delegates’ meet will start at 8.30 am. Banamali Boro, EM, BTC will release the souvenir at 11 am. It will be followed by prize distribution and a dance programme. Chandan Brahma, Minister of Transport and Tourism, will inaugurate the open session at 1 pm. The session will be chaired by Billa Kumar Brahma and attended by Guneswar Gayari, central vice president of the cultural body, Anjali Daimary, chairman of Bodo Women’s Justice Forum, Biswajit Daimary, Member of Rajya Sabha and Mitharam Basumatary, EM, BTC. The cultural body and reception committee have requested participation of all sections of people.
