Odisha Fire Service bus pelted with stones
Staff Correspondent
SHILLONG, Jan 11 - An Odisha Fire Service (OFS) bus came under attack from stone pelters in East Jaintia Hills last evening during the “stay off the road” protest called by different NGOs in protest against the Citizens Amendment Bill.

The incident happened at around 8.30 pm when the OFS personnel were moving back to their base after the day’s work of trying to rescue the trapped miners at Ksan. “Some miscreants pelted stone and the glass was shattered. However, nobody was injured.

We have received prompt assistance from the district administration,” Sukanta Sethi, OFS Chief Fire Officer said speaking over the phone from Bhubaneswar.
