GUWAHATI, Jan 10 - An Alliance Air flight, after taking off for Lilabari this morning, had to land back at the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport here after a technical snag was detected midway.
All the 47 passengers onboard the 739 Alliance Air ATR flight were safe. “The Lilabari (Lakhimpur)-bound flight had to land back after some hydraulic problem was detected midway. A full emergency was declared at around 9.58 am due to the issue,” sources in the Airport Authority of India informed The Assam Tribune.
The snag was detected around 9.58 am and the flight landed safely at 10.21 am following which all operations were reported normal. “The full emergency was withdrawn after nearly half an hour,” sources stated.
The passengers were then accommodated in another flight. Meanwhile, a team of engineers has already left from Kolkata to repair the aircraft at the LGBI.
