Ranjeet Dass shown black flags at Nagaon
A Correspondent
NAGAON, Jan 9 - Amidst massive protests and mass uproar against the Citizenship (amendment) Bill, 2016 in the State as well as in the district, the BJP’s State president, Ranjeet Kumar Dass this afternoon faced a black flag protest from the activists of Nagaon district AASU.

Some activists of the district unit of the students’ union this afternoon waved black flags when Dass was on his way to the Khagen Mahanta auditorium in the town to attend a party programme being held there. The AASU activists shouted various slogans against the BJP and the BJP-led State alliance government and termed the saffron party and its government as a betrayer as well as labelled it anti-Assamese.

The activists however said that AASU would not merely sit back but would launch massive protests in the State against the suicidal bill until and unless it is retracted. Following the waving of the black flags, the police personnel on duty rushed to the spot and sent the activists back.
