|26 forester trainees complete 6-month course| GUWAHATI, Jan 9 - An impressive passing-out ceremony of the 15th batch of forester trainee for six months’ induction training was held at Assam Forest School, Jalukbari here on Tuesday, according to a press release issued here today.

Altogether 26 forester trainees were awarded certificates for successful completion of their six months’ training.
During their rigorous training, the forester trainees were exposed to four groups including 14 subjects, like basic forest silviculture, forest mensuration, forest engineering, forest botany, wildlife management, forest law and accounts, etc.
To keep them physically fit, the trainees were given regular activities of PT/parade, sports activities, marathons, etc. They were also given training in civil defence and survey and demarcation by specialist resource persons in the respective fields.
Environment and Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya was the chief guest on the occasion. AM Singh, PCCF & HOFF; MK Jadav, Addl PCCF, RE&WP, Assam and AK Johari, Spl PCCF, Biodiversity & Climate Change, were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Forest Minister Suklabaidya congratulated the trainees and assured them of all possible help and support from the government to strengthen the force and boost their confidence to work enthusiastically in their field.
