GUWAHATI, Jan 9 - Around 40,000 Swayamsevaks and others will gather in the city on January 21 for the ‘Luitporiya Hindu Samavesh’, which is being organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will address the gathering, which will also be attended by many sattradhikars of various sattras from across Assam, other religious and spiritual leaders and also tribal chieftains.
The rally will be held on the Veterinary College ground, Khanapara. RSS cadres from 4,000 villages of Assam will participate in it.
RSS leaders said that this will be the largest ever show of strength by the outfit in Assam and preparations for the event has been going on for the last two years.
Bhagwat will also attend a conclave of regional leaders of the RSS later in the evening of the same day as well as on January 22.
