Award instituted in memory of Parag Das

 GUWAHATI, Jan 7 – The Janasadharan group of newspapers is instituting an award in memory of eminent journalist Parag Das this year onwards, which will be presented on February 24 commemorating his birthday.

A statement said that the first year’s award will be given to the best reporting on the subject of ‘Indigenous communities, their problems and development.’ Aspirants can submit a maximum of ten reports on the issue published between January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010. The last date for submitting the reports is January 30, 2011.

The award carries Rs 25,000 in cash and a commemorative inscription.
