Senior officials throng Gunutsav in Golaghat
 DERGAON, Jan 6 - The third phase of Gunutsav which started from January, ended successfully in Golaghat district today.

 A total of 1,639 schools within the district were assessed by 615 external evaluators. According to information received from the Education Department in the district, several senior Government officials took part as external evaluators.

Among them, ADGP (Admin), Assam Police Headquarter, LR Bishnoi, ADGP (CMC Vigilance) & BIEO, KV Singh Deo, Commissioner & Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Devola Devi Das, Secretary of Sports & Youth Welfare Sanjib Gohain Baruah, DC Golaghat Gaurav Bothra etc. were among the prominent senior officials present as external evaluators.

On the other hand, MLAs Ajanta Neog, Mrinal Saikia and Bhabendra Nath Bhorali also visited the schools during Gunutsav. On the last day today, several prominent schools in the district were evaluated. Dergaon Indranee Devi Higher Secondary School established in 1932 was evaluated by IAS officer Devola Devi Das and Mrigen Kalita of Golaghat DIET.

Interacting with the community members, Evaluator Das urged them to look after the school along with the Government. She also interacted with members of the alumni association, guardians, members of mothers unit, ex-teachers of the school, general public etc.

Later, Principal Dr Juri Devi informed that all 62 students from Class–VI to Class-VIII were present during the evaluation process. Hopeful of securing a good score. she acknowledged the cooperation extended by the teachers as well as outsiders in the Gunutsav.
