Ward commissioner moves Union minister on facilities at petrol pumps
JORHAT, Jan 6 - The ward commissioner of Ward No. 6 of the Jorhat Municipal Board, Ankur Gupta (BJP), has written a letter to Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan, seeking availability of basic facilities for the public in petrol pumps of the district.

Gupta requested the minister to direct the Central PSU companies to ensure adherence to the rules framed by the companies for petrol pump owners.

Pointing out the demands, the ward commissioner stated that the quality and quantity of oil sold could be maintained by installing latest technology delivery machines, which, according to him, was not done in most of the fuel outlets in Jorhat.

He further said that clean toilets, drinking water and money swipe machines should be made available for the customers at the petrol pumps as per the rules framed by the Central PSUs.
