Correspondent IMPHAL, Jan 3 - Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 105th Indian Science Congress (ISC) to be held at Manipur Central University here under the theme, ‘Reaching the Unreached’ from March 16 to 20 next.

Around 5,000 delegates from different parts of India and abroad including some Nobel laureates will be attending the ISC. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh launched the official website of the ISC (https://isc105.org/) during a function at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Tuesday.
Education Minister Th Radheshyam, State Chief Secretary RR Rashmi, officials of Indian Science Congress Association led by its President Prof Achyuta Samanta and Manipur University VC Prof Adya Prasad Pandey and others were present at the function.
The CM expressed pleasure that the mega event would coincide with the first anniversary of BJP-led State Government which would complete one year on March 15.
Imphal would become the second city in NE to host the prestigious congregation after Shillong in 2009. The 1st Indian Science Congress was held in 1914.
