School cricket from today

 GUWAHATI, Jan 1 – The inter-school cricket tournament for the Nabin Chandra Tamuly Trophy, organised by Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre (GCCC), will get off at the Nehru Stadium here from tomorrow.

Modern School will play against Fairyland HS while Don Bosco HS will take on Zenith Academy in two matches of the opening day.

Altogether 10 schools are in the fray for the title which is divided into two groups. After a league phase, top two teams of each group will qualify for the semifinal stage. The final has been slated for January 14.

The participating schools are: (Group A) Delhi Public School, Modern English, Fairyland, City Montessory, Maharshi Vidya Mandir. (Group B) South Point, Faculty, Zenith Academy, Shrimanta Shankar Academy, Don Bosco.
