Ethnic group gears up for Bah-Gosai Ceremony

 GORESWAR, Feb 28 - The Sarania Kachari ethnic group of Assam is going to celebrate their religious programme ‘Bah-Gosai Ceremony’ at Goreswar in Baksa district with a two-day event on April 19-20.

On the occasion, Mukul Chandra Choudhury, mouzadar of Betna mouza in Baksa district and president of 'Sarania Kachari Kendriya Bah-Gosai Utsab Samiti' (SKKBGUS) inaugurated the new office building here at ‘Manas Sarania Complex’ located near the Goreswar public bus stand recently.

Besides, a 21-member celebration committee was constituted recently with Mukul Ch Choudhury as president, Tapeswar Hazarika as executive president and Maheswar Saikia as secretary.

Secretary of the SKKBGUS Maheswar Saikia has urged the people of the Sarania Kachari community of Assam to cooperate and help making the festival a success.
