Assam women post second win

 GUWAHATI, Feb 24 – Assam women registered second consecutive victory in the East Zone T20 Senior Cricket Championship defeating host Jharkhand by 7 wickets.In a one-sided affair at Jamshedpur today, Assam restricted Jharkhand to 76 for 8 in 20 overs. Only 3 Jharkhand batsmen-RS Singh (19), NM Prasad (12) and RK Prasad (11) could reach double figure.

Assam batsmen, chasing the easy target, took 15.3 overs for hitting the winning target losing 3 wickets. All rounder Reema Malhotra top scored with 25 while Rajni Banset and Anita Lodhi contributed 23 and 14 respectively.

In other match of the day, Odisha trounced Tripura by 56 runs. In reply to Odisha’s 143 for 3, Tripura were all out for 87.
