U-19 women’s cricket from tomorrow

 GUWAHATI, Feb 20 - The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) is hosting the Women’s U-19 One-day Tournament here in the city from February 22 to March 12.

A total of nine teams will participate in the round robin league and altogether 36 matches will be played in three venues – ACA Stadium, Barsapara; Judges’ Field and NFRSA Stadium, Maligaon.

The participating teams are Assam, Mumbai, Rajasthan, Kerala, Bengal, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Odisha.

Assam will play their first match against Mumbai on February 22 at the ACA Stadium.

Cricketer’s death condoled: ACA president Romen Dutta and secretary Devajit Saikia, on behalf of the State cricket body condoled the untimely demise of Asif Latif, who represented Assam in U-16 and U-19 BCCI tournaments. Asif passed away yesterday after suffering a massive heart attack at the age of 43.
