Exam rescheduled after leakage of question papers in Manipur

 IMPHAL, Feb 20 - The Class XI annual examination in Manipur has been rescheduled following reports of leakage of question papers.

 Confirming the development, State Education Minister Th Radheshyam said in the ongoing Assembly Session that a probe was on to find out the details and take necessary action.

Responding to a call attention motion by Congress MLA Kh Joykishan today, the minister said that appropriate action would be taken against schools found involved in the case.

On Wednesday, L Mahendra Singh, Chairman of the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), which conducts the Class XI examination, said strict action would be taken against those found responsible for the leakage of question papers. He said examinations for the remaining subjects would be held after setting new question papers. The examination is likely to resume after April, Mahendra Singh added.

The Class XI examination had commenced from February 17 and was earlier scheduled to conclude on March 26.
