|Nat’l Science Day prog at Cotton varsity on Feb 28|
GUWAHATI, Feb 20 - The Cotton University, in association with the Assam Science Technology and Environmental Council (ASTEC), is going to celebrate this year’s National Science Day on February 28 next with a daylong programme on the University premises.
The Science Day programme will begin with an inaugural session, followed by a popular talk, which will be delivered by celebrated Assamese science writer and former scientist of CSIR-NEIST (formerly known as RRL), Dr Dinesh Chandra Goswami.
A science quiz and a science poster competition will be held among students of various colleges and universities of Greater Guwahati. In addition, an article writing competition will also be held, which is open for all students. The theme is ‘Science for the people, and the people for science.’
Dr Sudipta Nandy and Dr Debajyoti Barooah are convenors of the event. Willing participants may send their writings by email by February 23, a press release issued here stated today.
