Sivasagar celebrates Mahashivratri

 SIVASAGAR, Feb 20 – The historic town of Sivasagar wore a festive look today as its citizens celebrated the auspicious occasion of Shivratri.

Thousands of devotees made offerings to Lord Shiva at the historic Shiva Doul. Many sages could be seen in the early hours marching along the town roads.

The Sivasagar district administration made all necessary arrangements and tightened the security system to avoid any untoward incidents.

Riht from early morning, thousands of devotees flocked to Shiva temples to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva.
