Shops down shutters

 JORHAT, Feb 16 - Shops and business establishments voluntarily closed down here as youths from different localities, came out on the streets today carrying the Indian flag and posters and banners against Pakistan and also shouting slogans against the neighbouring country to protest Pulwama attack on CRPF jawans.

The protesters some of whom were on foot and others on motorbikes, moved around the different localities shouting slogans against Pakistan and demanded a “fitting response” to the terrorists for the suicide attack on the CRPF personnel.

A group of protesters burnt the Pakistani flag at Gar-Ali demanding firm action against Pakistan.

Yesterday evening street-corner prayer meetings for the departed souls of the soldiers were held at several areas here. Candles were lit to mourn the death of the CRPF jawans.
