SILCHAR, Feb 16 - The recruitment process of constables from Cachar district into Assam Police was postponed after a technical snag hindered the activities at the Police Parade ground in Silchar today. The Cachar SP said that the process would be conducted afresh on February 22.
“The technical aspect of the recruitment process was outsourced to a company. Due to technical snags, the activities of the recruitment proceedings could be recorded. As many as 750 candidates had appeared for 145 vacant posts. We tried our best to resume the process, but after talks with higher officials, the process had to be postponed to February 22,” the SP added.
He added that those who have been disqualified in the medical examinations on Thursday, will not be eligible to appear on the new date of the examination.
