Taking advantage of Green Valley defender Louis Nigi Ebami, Kelving cruised into the goal area and pushed home from a close range. But the Guwahati team hit back in the 14th minute when Nurudeen beat the opponent custodian with a sharp half volley from 18 yards.

After the change over, Nurudeen gave his team victory in the 68th minute anticipating a measured pass from Emannual. The margin could have been bigger had Emannual and Nurudeen not missed a couple of easy sitters.
