|Sports week of Tezpur Don Bosco School under way|
TEZPUR, Feb 14 - The week-long annual sports week of Tezpur Don Bosco High school began on February 12.
Marking the opening ceremony of the event, District Sports Officer for undivided Sonitpur district, Khanindra Mudoi, unfurled the sports flag of the school at 9 am. It was followed by a cultural programme and march past presented by the students. Speaking on the occasion, Mudoi said that sports is a great way for children to take a break from academics and release pent-up energy. It also helps them lead fuller and happier lives as regular sports and fitness activities have proven to provide not only physical benefits but also social and psychological benefits to children. Biswajit Ekka, from Bishop House also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, the Asstt. Principal of the school, Anthony Keketa in his keynote address stressed on participation of students in every event so that besides education physical line too gets an extra dimension in one’s life.
