2,21,507 farmers in Nagaon dist avail KCC loan

 NAGAON, Feb 14 - A special meeting on ensuring proper implementation of Prime Minister’s Kisan Credit Card scheme (KCC) was held among various bank officials of the district at the conference hall of the Nagaon Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner Jadav Saikia presided over the meeting where the bank managers of NABARD, Agricultural Development Bank, Lead Bank, etc., were present.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that KCC had been availed by a total of 2,21,507 farmers in the district till date, and out of them a total of 82,043 were benefited with KCC loan through various banks of the district.

He informed that those who were left out would also get loan benefits within a fortnight and for sensitisation about the KCC loan, the officials of the concerned department would launch a door-to-door move soon.
