NE Islamic Jor Sanmilan concludes at Nalbari

 NALBARI, Feb 14 - The North East Islamic Jor Sanmilan held with a three-day programme at Haripur-Bausiyapara in the district from Friday came to an end on Sunday.

More than one lakh people belonging to the Muslim community of the north-eastern States took part in the Jumma Namaz held on the occasion on the first day.

The Jumma Namaz was conducted by Moulana Ajam Bhai, a leader of the Hazrat Nizamuddin Banglewale Masjid in New Delhi. While addressing the people just before the namaz, he said that the incidents of violence are globally rising as the people have failed to follow the philosophy of Hazrat Mohammad. He further said that Islamic religious education is relevant to get rid of the ongoing violence. Bhai said that Islam gives the message of world brotherhood. He called upon the people to acquire knowledge and pay respect to the seniors to create a peaceful atmosphere. The Sanmilan ended today with a common prayer and mass nikah.

It may be mentioned here that over one lakh devotees from Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Sikkim along Assam took part in the three-day Jor Sanmilan organized by the Nalbari Tablig Jamaat.
