Adequate arrangements made for HSLC, AHM exams in Darrang

 MANGALDAI, Feb 13 - In Darrang district, altogether 10,770 candidates are going to appear in this year’s HSLC and AHM final examination which will begin from tomorrow in 27 different centres across the district.

Out of the total 10,770 candidates, 10,097 will appear for HSLC and the remaining 673 candidates for AHM. Meanwhile, the Darrang district administration has made adequate arrangements for conducting the examination in a free and fair manner. In addition to appointment of altogether 32 Supervising Officers, flying squads under the leadership of the Circle Officers of the relevant revenue circles under a District Level Monitoring team under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner himself has already been put on alert to check any incident of adoption of unfair means being adopted. Section 144 Cr PC has also been clamped in the district in view of the examinations.

Bringing mobile phones to the examination halls even by the invigilators have been prohibited whereas candidates are barred from carrying wrist watches into the exam centres. The authority has erected wall clocks in each of examination hall. This was stated by Dr Juwahira Tobassum, in charge Inspector of Schools, Darrang while talking to this reporter.
