|Seminar to mark AAU golden jubilee from Feb 27|
GUWAHATI, Feb 12 - The College of Veterinary Science, Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Khanapara, is organising an international seminar on the occasion of the AAU’s golden jubilee celebration on February 27 and 28.
It will be attended by over 300 delegates, including animal husbandry and veterinary scientists from the US, Australia, Kenya, Bangladesh, etc. The theme of the seminar is ‘Animal Agriculture for Doubling Farmers’ Income: Technology, Policy and Strategy Options’.
The scientific programme of the seminar will comprise eight technical sessions, including presentations on latest innovations in the animal husbandry sector and strategies for the future, emerging health issues, organic animal agriculture, etc.
The seminar will conclude with a policy session to be chaired by AAU Vice Chancellor Dr KM Bujarbaruah. Besides a host of eminent international and national scientists, the policy session will be attended by the directors of animal husbandry and veterinary departments of all the eight north-eastern states.
