|National meet discusses GST issues|
GUWAHATI, Feb 11 - A three-day national meeting of the National Action Committee of GST Professionals (NAC of GSTPs) was held in New Delhi recently. The NAC was set up to give information and suggestions to GST’s practical and technical issues. At the national meeting, office bearers from all over India, including Assam, participated in the discussions on GST issues.
“After discussion, a memorandum was prepared and submitted to the Union Cabinet, Lok Sabha Speaker, Minister of State (Finance), MPs of many States, Chairman CBDT, Chairman CBIC and GST Council members in Delhi, for conveying the issues to them,” Sanjay Kumar Sureka and Amar Paul, State Coordinators of Assam for NAC of GST Professionals, said in a statement.
“To make GST a good and simple tax system, it will have to overcome the difficulties of both the taxpayer and tax advisor by eliminating its complex process, technical glitches of the portal as soon as possible,” it said.
