Aaikya Sena opposes Citizenship Bill

 SIVASAGAR, Feb 10 - Aaikya Sena, Asom took out a massive rally from Dolmukh Chariali here on Saturday and opposed the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill-2016.

Aaikya Sena, Asom also called upon the people to defeat the BJP and their allegedly biased pro-Hindu stand on granting citizenship. Inamul Hazarika, general secretary of Sivasagar Press Club, Farid Islam Hazarika, secretary of Aaikya Sena, Lu Syun Shyam Gohain, secretary of KMSS’ district committee, Ankuran Phukan, leader of Ahom Sena, Debajit Dutta, president of Sangrami Yuva Parishad, Monirul Islam Bora, member of Minority Board and other leaders of different organisations strongly criticised the BJP for their alleged anti-Assamese divisive policies in the land of Sankardev-Azan Peer Saheb.

The rally began from the historic Rangghar Bakori and ended near the towering Shiva Doul.
