Manipur House session ends

 IMPHAL, Dec 20 - The ninth session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die with the passage of the Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Bill, 2019 today. Earlier, a question-and-answer session and discussion took place following a call attention motion on border dispute and reports of misutilisation of funds in construction of Sadbhavna Mandaps.

The three-day Assembly session featured one obituary reference, 18 starred questions, nine unstarred questions, four call attention motions, laying of two papers and a public interest discussion.

Earlier, responding to a call attention motion by Congress MLA K Ranjit, Chief Minister N Biren Singh informed the House that his Government has started negotiation process to resolve the long-standing border dispute between Tungjoy village in Manipur and Khezhakeno village in Nagaland.
