NRC complaint centre opened

 JORHAT, Dec 20 - The Majuli district administration has opened a complaint centre at the Majuli Deputy Commissioner’s office to receive any possible objections filed by citizens relating to inclusion of names of people in the final draft of NRC.

An official source of the island district administration said a notification issued by Majuli Deputy Commissioner Debaprasad Misra, who is the District Registrar of Citizen Registration with regards to the NRC update process, stated that anyone who has information regarding inclusion of names of ‘ineligible’ persons in the NRC final draft, could file objection at the complaint centre in the DC’s office.

The source further stated that the people wishing to see the final draft of the NRC could have a look at the same at the DC’s office, Revenue Circle office and at the NSKs. The complaints could be filed till December 31 this year.
