GUWAHATI, Dec 20 - ‘Impact Week’, a programme on design thinking, organised by Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship in collaboration with German Design Thinking concluded here today.
According a statement, around 100 aspiring and existing entrepreneurs participated in the programme and came up with their own innovative and unique business ideas which they presented to a jury comprising experts in design thinking, entrepreneurs and representatives from the corporate sector.
The impact week was divided into six track topics in which the student groups worked. Each track focused on an issue important to the Assamese region and holds great potential for start-ups and entrepreneurs. The aim of the programme was to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in developing and emerging economies as a foundation for sustainable growth, the statement said.
Five best performing teams selected by the jury received impact week awards. The chief guest of the event, Ravi Capoor, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, appreciated the initiative taken by IIE and lauded the ‘Impact Week’ team for taking the first ever initiative to organise the programme on design thinking in North East India.
