OIL CMD NM Borah feted

 GUWAHATI, Dec 15 – Nayan Moni Borah, CMD of Oil India Limited (OIL), was felicitated by organisations like Sports Journalist Welfare Association, Assam Olympic Association, Guwahati Sports Association, Assam Sepak Takraw Association, Young Star Football Coaching Centre, etc., in a function at the Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium here today.Borah was honoured for his contribution to the field of sports and social activities representing OIL and Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB).

Thanking the organisations for honouring him, Borah said OIL is now a leading company in the oil sector of the world and is working in several countries like Libiya, Nigeria, Australia, Venezuela and many more. He revealed that skilled workers from Assam have been performing tremendously in overseas countries. OIL is also providing a helping hand to the needy people in education and medical help in remote areas. Indian Chambers of Commerce has selected OIL as the best company for its all round show.

Borah said, “In sports, PSPB, comprising of oil companies, is playing a major role in developing standards with financial assistance and other facilities. Borah is also the chairman of PSPB which has appointed numerous sportspersons including some international heros. He also praised State sportspersons like Monalisa Baruah Mehta, Tridib Duvarah for their contribution to OIL in the field of sports.
