GUWAHATI, Dec 14 - The Annual General Meeting of the Lawn Bowling Association Assam was held at Hotel Rajdhani Residency here on Thursday. Representatives from 19 out of 20 affiliated district units attended the meeting that was presided over by its president Durgadas Boro.
Apart from passing the annual audited accounts and other routine affairs, the AGM also resolved to host the National Lawn Bowls Championship in Guwahati in the early part of 2019 and to hold the State inter-district championships regularly in the month of October every year. Since there is no lawn bowls green in any other district of Assam, it was decided that the district units will host the inter-district meet at the Sarusajai Sports Complex green in Guwahati in turns.
Further the meeting unanimously elected a new executive committee for the next four-year term, stated a press release.
