Deb demands Rahul Gandhi to seek apology
Correspondent
AGARTALA, Dec 14 - Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Friday demanded Congress president Rahul Gandhi to apologise before the people of the country for bringing baseless allegation against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Rafale deal.

“Today the Supreme Court passed a historic judgement, which gave not only a clean chit to the Narendra Modi-led government but it found no reason to interfere in the deal”, he told the media here.

Deb said it was a deep-rooted ploy to defame Modi who has been tirelessly trying to make the country stronger in the global stage. “It was not only aimed at defaming the PM, it was a deliberate attempt to malign the reputation of the country”, he said.

“Now, Rahul Gandhi must seek apology for his mischievous venture to derail the Rafale deal”, he said.

Deb, who is also the BJP State unit president, further charged Pradesh Congress Committee and CPI (M) state committee for baseless allegation against the PM.
